Roberto Scalisi
Roberto Scalisi Riding InstructorBorn in the Hertfordshire countryside, Roberto Scalisi’s life with horses began early and has taken him across the worlds of elite sport and cinema.
From becoming head rider for Team Bleekman to joining the stunt team of Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, Roberto’s journey has been as extraordinary as it is accomplished.
On set, he worked alongside stars like Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston, performing as a cavalry rider and stunt double for key scenes.
Off screen, he returned to the professional eventing circuit, where he competed—and won—at every national level, up to Advanced and international 3*.
In 2024, he celebrated a major career milestone with a 3* win at Hartpury and was proud to represent Italy in the Nations Cup.

Roberto is not affiliated with any single yard or riding school. He works with riders who have access to their own horse—whether owned, loaned, liveried, or rented—offering flexible, location-based coaching across the North Cotswolds and surrounding areas.
